Biography
My name is Siphephelo Zondo, a PhD candidate in Botany from the University of the Free State, South Africa. I majored in Botany, where I honed my expertise in Plant Physiology and Biochemistry. I was born in the rural areas of Bergville, KwaZulu-Natal. My academic journey allowed me to explore the intricate relationships between plants and their environments,
including their survival under stressful conditions (e.g. plant-pest interactions) and conducting experiments in the Biochemistry and physiology disciplines. I am excited to apply this knowledge to real-world challenges. My journey in higher education has fuelled these interests and influenced me to learn much further and get more skills that can allow me to perform at my best in the outside world. I have published 2 scientific papers and presented at local and international conferences as my highlighted MSc research outputs.
