Seong-Min Kim is a plant molecular biologist from South Korea with a Ph.D. focused on tomato trichome development and crop improvement through functional genomics. He received his B.S. from Kyungpook National University (KNU) and his M.S. and Ph.D. from Seoul National University (SNU), South Korea. His research integrates genetics, molecular biology, and bioinformatics to elucidate gene function and regulatory networks governing plant development. He has expertise in CRISPR-Cas9 genome editing, phenotypic characterization, and transcriptomic analysis. His work aims to enhance insect resistance via modulation of tomato trichome development and to translate these findings into applied breeding strategies.
