Mr. Philips Ibuomotimi Asaigbe started his career with the National Biotechnology Research and Development Agency [NARDA] and grew to the rank of Assistant Chief Research Office where he held several positions such as Acting Unit Head, Bioproduction for over three years, Team Lead Plants of Special Interest in the North East, Head Journals and Publications and served in various locations.
With over ten years of service with the National Agency and passion in academics, Mr. Asaigbe took up a Teaching Position with the University of Africa Toru Orua, Bayelsa -Nigeria, with focus on plant biotechnology, exploring (genetics, plant breeding, genomics and root-associated microbial communities) for sustainable agriculture, solving local environmental and agricultural challenges in Nigeria. I aim to contribute impactfully to interdisciplinary research that supports development across Africa.
