Modeste Chabi holds a master’s degree in plant science and is currently pursuing a PhD in Plant Breeding at the Pan African University. He worked for two years as a research consultant at Alliance Bioversity & CIAT Benin-Cotonou, where he led efforts to combat Banana Bunchy Top Disease. With four published scientific papers, his research spans genetic analysis, QTL mapping, and candidate gene identification. Modeste is passionate about computational biology and the use of bioinformatics tools to enhance crop breeding. He is keen on international collaboration and continues to improve his English to better engage in global scientific conversations.
