Biography

I am a chemist by training and did my masters in chemistry from Roorkee a premier Indian Insitute of Technology. Later did plant tissue culture, molecular biology and radiation biophysics, chlorophyll biosynthesis at Jawaharlal Nehru University, NIPGR and International Centre for Genetic Engg and Biotech, New Delhi. I have more than three decades of research experience and have won awards and research grants from various national and international agencies. I have served as Research Associate (NIH projects) at Oakland University Rochester Michigan in Chemistry, Biochem and Mol Biology. Later as BOYSCAST-GOI fellow visited Oklahoma State University Stillwater USA. I have served Pondicherry University in various capacities since 2005 and have trained four PhD scholars. Manish and Anshika played pivotal role in this study and a  patent on rice calli assessment for embryogenecity, is recently awarded.
