Jeong-eun Lee is a researcher at the Upland Crop Breeding Research Division of the National Institute of Crop and Food Science (NICS), Rural Development Administration (RDA), Republic of Korea. Her research focuses on the breeding and genetic resource development of sesame (Sesamum indicum L.). She is dedicated to enhancing various agronomic traits in sesame by integrating traditional breeding methods with advanced technologies, such as Marker-Assisted Selection (MAS) and Speed Breeding. Her research aims to bridge the gap between genomic discovery and practical field application to support sustainable agriculture and ensure food security.
