Biography
Dr. Md. Ekramul Hoque is a Professor of the Department of Biotechnology, Sher-E-Bangla Agricultural University, Dhaka.He completed his Ph.D in Molecular Genetics from Indian Agricultural Research Institute (IARI), New Delhi, India. He done Post-Doctoral Research from International Centre for Genetic Engineering & Biotechnology (ICGEB), New Delhi, India. He awarded Young Scientist Gold Medal from “Bangladesh Academy of Sciences”. He is a Co-Author of the Book “An Introduction to Plant Tissue Culture”. He innovated a new “Plant Tissue Culture Medium”. He has more than 32 years of research and teaching experiences in the field of Tissue Culture and Biotechnology. He has 70 scientific papers published in different national and international Journal. At present he is working as a Consultant (Tissue Culture), Tissue Culture Laboratory cum Horticulture Centre Establishment and Development Project, Department of Agricultural Extension (DAE), Ministry of Agriculture, The People Republic of Bangladesh.
