Anshu Prajapati is a Master’s student at the Jacob Blaustein Institutes for Desert Research, Ben-Gurion University of the Negev, Israel, under the supervision of Prof. Vered Tzin. Her research focuses on improving the nutritional quality of barley through the integration of genome editing, breeding approaches, and cytonuclear genetics. She is particularly interested in plant metabolic regulation and crop biofortification. Her work combines molecular biology, physiology, and genetic analysis to understand amino acid metabolism in cereals. She aims to apply these approaches to develop nutritionally enhanced and climate-resilient crops.
