Prof. Dr. Anna Ling has more than 19 years of teaching experience in various medical biotechnology modules. Besides teaching, she is also actively involved in research and has successfully supervised numerous undergraduate and postgraduate students. Her major fields of research include neuroscience and edible plant vaccines production. As a consequence of her work in plant biotechnology since 1996, she has also expanded her research in plant mutation breeding. Together with her research team from Malaysian Nuclear Agency, the rice mutation breeding project was awarded the Outstanding Achievement Award in Plant Mutation Breeding by the International Atomic Agency (IAEA) and Food and Agriculture Organisation (FAO) as well as the Forum for Nuclear Cooperation in Asia (FNCA) Excellent Research Team Award.
