Biography

Sali Aliu is a Professor of Plant Breeding at the University of Prishtina, Faculty of Agriculture, and Department of Crop Science. His research is focused on breeding crops and agronomy, emphasizing the selection and improvement of different crops. The particular interest is plant genetic resources and maize and winter wheat improvement. So far, he published more than 30 different scientific articles in journals indexed in the prestigious houses published as author and coauthor—participation in congresses, symposia, and seminars. Since 2004, he has been a member of the EUCARPIA (European Association for Research on Plant Breeding) and ISHS. He has supervised numerous BSc, MSc, and PhD students.
