Abstract
Sustainable energy demands innovative approaches to improve solar energy capture and storage in biological systems. Plant biomass is a promising renewable resource; however, its efficiency is limited by natural photosynthetic constraints. This research proposes a novel, low-cost, eco-friendly, and recyclable photosensitizer-based enhancement system that expands light absorption and improves energy conversion efficiency in plants. The study integrates photochemistry with plant biotechnology to enhance biomass yield and biofuel precursors. Experimental modeling demonstrates significant increases in carbohydrate and lipid accumulation, enabling improved ethanol and biodiesel production. The system is reversible, non-toxic, and scalable for commercial applications, offering a practical solution to global energy challenges.
